About Nikki

“Thank you so much Nikki for an amazing ceremony, you made the day very special and we had the most amazing day. Guests were all blown away by the ceremony and it was down to you! Thank you again for an amazing day.”

Here’s a little bit about me!

My love of listening to and engaging with people, my creativity and my passion for story-telling is what lead me to becoming an Independent Celebrant. The wonderful process of getting to know you and carefully crafting your perfect ceremony that tells your story is just magical. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful job!

Couples have described me as kind-hearted, thoughtful, fun and organised and whatever ceremony you are considering, I will work closely with you to ensure that it is absolutely perfect and exceeds your expectations.

My previous career spanned 25 years in the City and my role entailed project procedure training to staff across Europe, so I was used to public speaking. I was regularly away from home and missed the kids terribly; determined to improve my work-life balance I took on more of a consulting role. More importantly, my youngest son was an actor and needed me to Chaperone him on television and film sets, that’s probably why I’m not fazed by a script! When my kids became teenagers, it was time to embark on a new and fulfilling path and I have never looked back.

Family and friends are very important to me, I have lived in Oxted, Surrey with husband, Simon and our three wonderful, now grown-up children for the past 20 years. In my free time I love socialising with family and friends, leisurely walks in the countryside, relaxing in the garden and spoiling my two cats!

If you feel I could work with you to create a beautiful, heart-felt and tailor-made ceremony for your special celebration, that reflects you as a couple and tells your story, leaving memories to treasure, please do get in touch, I’d love to meet you for a relaxed chat.
